DemiQuiz Software

DemiQuiz is a Windows-based application program that provides an alternative to paper tests, using an electronic delivery for the DemiDec exams, quizzes and flashcards.

Access to the DemiQuiz content mirrors your subscription. For example, when your DemiDec subscription includes Focused Quizzes, you will gain access to the DemiQuiz Focused Quiz content files for download.

Note: If you haven't subscribed to any exams, quizzes or flashcards, you won't see any DemiQuiz content files.

DemiQuiz currently supports Windows-based platforms for tests and quizzes and is available as a free download. The software installs using Microsoft's ClickOnce technology. Installing the software on your home computer will require that you "talk nicely" to your local anti-virus product and tell it to allow the software to install. Installing the software on your school network will likely involve your local IT person who will need provide the proper permissions.

Click-Once For Home Installation - Clicking this link will trigger a download. Once the download has completed, you will need to click on the download to install the software. The advantage of using this method of installation is that you will get automatic updates as they become available.

Zipped Installation Files - Clicking this link will trigger a download of all of the installation files in Zip package form. Unzip the files into a location on the destination computer or network and run the "Setup.exe" file. Updates to the software may be obtained by downloading this package periodically and reinstalling the software.

Downloading Tests, Quizzes and Flashcards

The content files consisting of test and quiz questions and flashcards are not part of the software download. You get the content files by going to the DemiDec.com download pages and looking for the files that include the phrase "For DemiQuiz". These files are meant to be downloaded into a local folder and then imported into the database used by DemiQuiz. This process is demonstrated on training videos posted to YouTube.
